Giving Without Money
One of the most important points we try and make with Good Virus is that you don’t need to spend money to be kind. Kindness is a lifestyle not a balance sheet. I personally feel that money intimidates people, overwhelms them and in many cases causes people to put off being generous. Let’s face it, most of us struggle financially. We have rent, mortgages, college tuition, 401K’s and dwindling retirement. This causes many good, kind, decent people to put charity on the back burner until they are in a better place. If only there was a way to give without spending money… Well HERE is an excellent list: Volunteer Your Time Instead of Money. Use a Charity Credit Card (or Donate Your Cash Back Rewards). Donate Your Computer’s Idle Time. Regularly Donate Blood and Plasma. Take Your Old Stuff to Goodwill or the Salvation Army.
